Primary Colors two world-class pre-media facilities operate round the clock and provide services from in-house digital photography to data asset management. Our offerings include Ad production services, creative retouching, scanning, color management (G7 certified – Gracol), product color matching across multiple platforms and substrates, hard and soft proofing options, data asset management solutions, automated prepress workflows as well as consulting services with clients in house creative departments.

Primary’s all-encompassing pressroom provides us with an in-house, turnkey solution for any litho printed products. Our Hi-speed Heidelberg presses print 8/c with inline coating units and interdeck UV coaters enabling us the flexibility to maximize print quality on any substrate. The pressroom is certified as a G7 Masterprinter, providing national and global clients with color managed printed material and our sustainability program includes FSC Certification and material recycling programs. Additional services include project engineering, 20 micron staccato screening, on-site ink mixing, complete bindery services, fulfillment, mailing and shipping. Our national awards include an Oscar for best entertainment packaging and a Benny for “Best in US” soft cover book.

Digital Print is a core production offering satisfying all print-on-demand, short run/quick-turn requirements. The HP INDIGO 7000 presses provide the highest available digital print quality. Versatility is assured through the utilization of HP Director, Xmpie for POD and variable data applications. Primary offers complete data management and data cleansing, mailing and fulfillment services, custom binding for books and presentations, short runs with Litho quality and long run variable data printing.

With 70,000 square feet dedicated to large format printing, the shop floor includes 23 specialty printing devices giving us tremendous advantages in managing turnaround times. Seven of our devices are 16 ft in width giving us redundancy and the ability to print larger run quantities for national rollouts. Everyone of our devices is color managed using the G7 method providing a consistently branded color output across all print mediums and substrates ensuring color matched print materials.

The newest addition to our pool of press equipment is the revolutionary M-Press Tiger. This hi-speed, flatbed, inkjet press addresses clients demands for oversize, high run-length digital printing. Our configuration includes a digital screen unit which applies in-line varnishes, spot colors, metallics and white as well as thermal or scratch-’n-sniff inks. Impressive is a very large 65″ x 104″ sheet size and run speeds up to 175 sheets per hour. We can print for backlit applications with perfect registration front to back. The flatbed technology allows us to print on any substrate that measures between 0.007”and 0.39” thickness (80# cover stock to 3/8” thick substrates). Variable data integration with the M-Press allows us to
include variable elements for the Packaging and POP markets.

Primary offers a complete suite of fulfillment services including list management, bar code tracking, pick & pack, distribution, pack-out and custom kitting, real time reporting, receiving and packaging. Our Monarch software enables complete management of fulfillment operations with streamlined internal production workflows eliminating operational complexities normally associated with manual or non-integrated systems. From web based ordering to automated pick slips to bar code driven location picking and shipping, everything is designed to be fully automated for speed and accuracy.

Our Display Systems division offers complete solutions from site inspections, visualization services, technical design, construction and fabrication to installation, de-installation and storage. In addition to custom fabrication options, Primary is the sole North American distributor for TRIGA modular displays giving our clients unlimited options for event graphics and management. Our custom automation solutions enable enterprise level clients to implement graphics and print related streamlining workflows as well as internal cost reduction programs. Primary achieves this by leveraging existing technology to eliminate operator touch points and by streamlining the manufacturing process between our clients and Primary’s internal manufacturing.
