Expanded Color Gamut for The Strain OOH Campaign
Launching an out-of-home campaign is a fantastic way to get eyeballs on your brand, and when your campaign is produced using Primary Color’s expanded gamut print technique, your campaign will create even more buzz.
That is exactly what FX did with their show The Strain. The campaign went up all around Los Angeles and New York including a massive building wrap just in time for Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego.
For their show, FX created a series of art with intensely saturated color, far beyond the realm of 4-color process. The challenge for us was to step outside the box to reproduce this art with maximum color impact over several printing methods and substrates.
Our exclusive expanded gamut workflow was just what this campaign needed. The imagery was ideal for this print technique that allows us to go beyond the limits of normal color reproduction and produce products in the most intense way possible.
A campaign from litho printed posters to billboards and street media to a giant building wrap at Comic-Con all printed with extraordinarily intense color. We exceeded our client’s expectations and fulfilled their vision, as well as causing a good amount of social media buzz.
